The LK403B SF₆ decomposition Ion mobility analyzer measures: 

1. The SF₆-percentage in relation to nitrogen and air.This information is particularly important with respect to the filling process of the compartments as well as to the detection of possible leakages and the corresponding presence of possible reaction partners in case of electrical discharges. 

2. The amount of highly corrosive decomposition products (SxOyFz-compounds) through an Ion mobility spectrometer that have mainly electrical reasons like sparks,hoping particals and especially partial discharges. 

3. The moisture content of the SF₆ through a ceramic dew point sensor,that reveals information about the insulating quality of the gas and the residual moisture as the amount of potential reaction partners in case of electrical discharges within the gas chamber.
